Lupita De La Paz, has had community involvement since the young age of 15. It was then when she found her passion and love for music bringing her to the Casa de la Cultura for guitar lessons. Her passion was ignited and years later she was able to host the Noches Musicales series, and become the Executive Director for the past 13 years. Working with the community cultural arts organization she's been able to host visual and performing art classes, children's art camps, as well as motivate community involvement with creek clean ups, creek beautification, and conservation work.
Lilia Ramón begin as a volunteer and eventually starting working at Casa de la Cultura She's been with the Casa 23 years. Teaching the youth and adults the Art of making ..Pottery, weaving, piñata, paper flowers, Mexican cuisine foods, painting, foil embossing, papel picado, stain glass, hand made paper, claveras de azúcar, papel mache. "I really enjoy and love my work"
Axochitzin “Xochitl” Abrego Born and raised in Del Rio, Tx is a local musician, dancer, and youth organizer. She began with the Casa De La Cultura as a student/volunteer within the community. Now is a dance instructor for our Ballet Folklorico and develops various music programs with our youth.
Lupita González taught classical ballet with the Casa de la Cultura in Acuña, Coah, Mx 2004 to 2017. Founder of Allegro Dance Studio since 2014. Over 15 ballet recitals and currently teaching Del Rio, Texas.
